Today God is speaking loud and clear to me. On my morning walk I had a thought to tune into YouTube and I searched for... "Through God all things are possible."
I clicked on the first video that caught my attention and the pastor talked about how God has commanded us to be strong and not live in fear.
I had not ever heard it put that way, that God commands us to be strong but as it says in Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you where you go.
As I continued my walk and listened to this sermon, the speaker then hit me in a way I have never considered before when he stated, "Don't allow fear to hold you back for God has already made the plan for you."
That literally stopped me in my tracks and I turned off the audio and started thinking what that really meant in my life.
I thought of the movie, "The Hunt For Red October," one of my personal favorites. In it there is a scene where Jack Ryan is asking himself how the U.S. is going to get the Russian crew off the submarine. He soon realized that he didn't need to figure that part out, Captain Ramious must of already of done that.
With this insight, Ryan started asking himself a better question, "How do you get a crew to want to get off a nuclear submarine," and that's when Ryan figured out the Russian Captains strategy.
I realized today that I don't in my life and the struggles I face, I don't have to figure it all out. God already has. I just need to ask better questions and take action without fear, for God is always with me.
Today's bible study confirmed this even more when God says, "Come to me, all that are weary and I will give you rest." Which is God telling me, "Stop fighting so hard with your way, I have a better way."
